...well, beyond using them as frisbees...I was at Electronics Boutique today, and they said that they are getting in both the gift box and the 4-disk set, but they have a special deal for the 4 disk set. Trade in 4 dvds, and they do not appear to be picky as to what kind as long at it's with the original packaging, and you get the set for free. I checked out a couple places that sell used DVDS and found quite a few priced at around $9.99, so those of us who aren't like ken with a wall full of DVDs can get the set for something like 20$ off. Check with your local EB to make sure they're doing this deal, because I was at the Eaton Centre one and I don't know if all of them are doing this.

Just thought you'd all like to know. ^_^

But I don't *wanna* get rid of my $10 copy of Antitrust.

What exactly do the fine folks at EB get out of our castaway (but not Cast Away) dvd's? Are they selling used ones now as well?

And is the offer good towards the keen 5-disc gift box, or just the *CRAPPY* four-disc version bought by *LOSERS*? :p

they've been selling used DVDs for some time now, and the lady I talked to said it was only for the 4 disk set.

I guess I shouldn't say that I have a TON of free DVDs lying around my apartment from my days toiling at my last job. And I work 5 min from the Eaton Centre. Heh heh.

Well, I'll have to see what I have left after trips to the store for me, my brother (HUGE LOTR fan and a starving student), and (believe it or not) my grandmother who is a HUGE LOTR fan and went with my aunt to see FOTR opening weekend (the woman is in her eighties!) I guess being a geek runs in the family! :) She raved about it like a fanboy!

Edited to add: Dang! I forgot about my parents!

Ah Charlie's Angels, Meet the Parents, Running Time, and Starship Troopers; You shall be a pox on my DVD collection no longer.

I wasn't planning on getting this set (I was gonna wait for the huge box set of all 3 films) but I guess now I have no choice!
