An idea for some fun

While the last couple of months have been kinda stressful around here.I was thinking of some ways to try and bring some fun back around here.I think I may have something

How would you all feel about doing a scavanger hunt?

I've done this before and it really was alot of fun.We could come up with a list of things to find,find not buy.And in a couple months or so at one of the meets everyone brings what they found.Compare everyones' finds and see who found the best stuff.We could also come up with a prize for the winner,not sure what it would be yet,but it gives a good insentive to participate.

Thoughts?comments?

or one or two people could organise it, and during the meet you split up into groups of 2 or 3 and go searching for the items, then meet back up at a designated place and time, that way you all have equal opportunity to get the items. The prize can be a trip to visit me

well,I havent finished planning it out yet.Its still in the idea phase right now.I might just post a list of stuff to find.

The problem I see with doing it at an actual meet is,it might take quite sometime to gather all the items.And most might not have the time to go hunting thru town for the stuff.The reason behind just bringing it to the meet,it will give everyone a chance to find things.

keep your eye on the prize. don't give up till you see the white of their eyes, and work hard and be good to your mother.

 

I've got a little modifications:

We take over a large park and seal it off. Then, we all hunt someone, preferably someone not in the group.

Seriously though, I'm always up for anything. This sounds cool.

 

so you want to take a poster, tell them to hide in the park, and hunt them down? who did you have in mind to be hunted? I wish i were in Boston, i'd volunteer to be hunted, and then turn around and hunt you guys down

 

I have done that before. We go in the woods with BB guns and one person gets a headstart and then the others chase you and shoot you. Its actually fun. But getting shot does hurt a bit, spechally when everyone in the hunting party feels they need to shoot you. But you can get revenge after.

 

Here's a twist:
If you can make sure at least one member of each team has a digital camera, you can add all kinds of interesting things to the hunt

 

There wont be any teams.

Heres what I'm thinking.

I'll post a list of items to find.You all get about a month to find these things.You bring em to the meet.We(me and Tony)will judge to see who got the best stuff.The winner gets a prize.Prize undetermined at this time.

 

Ive done this a couple of times with my rocky group. What we usually do is chip in to buy those disposeable polaroid cameras and have people take pictures with different things and in different places. You can get some REALLY funny pics that way!

That sounds really kewel. I've done scavengers at my school before, and they've either been really passive or really competitive.

 

I really like this idea. Are we going forward with it?
