Yesterday was my son Ethan's 5th birthday party. Like his father, he's a bit of a Star Wars nut. Needless to say, his party had a Star Wars theme.

Sandtrooper David (StormMoose) and Scout Trooper Ruban (starwarsgeek74) agreed to make a surprise appearance at the party, all the way in the Outer Rim (also known as the Woodlands).

    Hi-res

Ethan was a bit freaked out, at first hiding his fear behind his Darth Vader mask, and then taking off into the corner because he was afraid of the "real" stormtroopers. After I asked David and Ruban to take off their helmets so Ethan could see they were friendly, he relaxed and had a good time.

Thanks, guys, for fighting the traffic and making his birthday even more special! I owe y'all!

That is totally cool. Nice of the guys to come and scare your boy.

Sounds like it was a load of fun. I remember my little one didn't know what to make of Darth Vader when we went to that Dallas con some time ago.

    Thanks for sharing the pics

Scare the kid? Ruban,It is all your fault. Biker Scouts cannot do anything right but hit trees. I just wanted to comb the desert but you had to scare the kid away from it. I am telling the Emperor.
Just kidding Ruban. Suiting up is always fun.

What a wonderful thing to do. The kid's here at MD Anderson loved Princess Leia at Halloween.

It is always fun to suit up for the kids. Even the older ones aka adults who love Star Wars.
