New Jersey An invitation

Hey guys

There has been some talk before about having our FanForces meet up at some point and time and earlier today I was informed that a few members of the Norfolk and Richmond FanForces were coming up for the Timothy Zahn signing on February 7th. I'll try to get something worked out with the other DC people but it would be great if some of you could wander down this way and meet with members from three other FanForces, even ME

 

Roger...you already knew that I was coming for that book signing.

 

Yes... but I wanted to invite the others. Go ahead and kidnap a couple more if you have to. Afterall, do you really want to make that trip alone?

 

Sounds good. Where is the signing?

The signing is actually across the river in Arlington (Rosslyn), VA

 

plus on Sunday the 8th...there is one in Maryland.


Roger...I was coming down on Friday night, I believe.

Oh sure there will be another book signing the next day but it will be hard for me to get everyone together on one evening the way it is.

Cool, hopefully I can let someone crash with me but I can't make any promises yet and my place is kinda small.

 

so I guess I might stay with Tim both nights, then.

 

I'll get back with you and let you know something later if you'd rather crash at my place.

 

I was thinking of splitting up the nights.

That's a little too far for a book signing.

 

It's more about meeting each other than the book signing for a lot of us.

 

That's cool though, I totally understand because I am going to Seattle this summer to meet a bunch of my friends from another forum.

 

I spoke with my other half last night about going and it's a little too far. Thanks for the invite!

 

Shawn, things are coming together nicely for SlackerCon. Have you convinced any more members of the Jersey FF to come?

So far the following people have shown interest:
The D.C. FanForce
Maryland FanForce
A couple of guys from southern VA (still waiting to see if more chime in).
Pittsburg FanForce
several members of the 501st (though it isn't clear whether or not they will show up in costumes).

This will likely be an annual event if the first one is a success, but there will only be ONE "First Annual SlackerCon".

 

No Roger...I have not been successful in getting more Slackers.
