An update (for those who remember DL)

Hello, all! Darth Ludicrous and I sure miss coming around and visiting the ol' JC, especially the Lit forums. We met here online back in 1999 and started dating. To make the long story short, the JC's first-ever Admin (mod) proposed to me on May 16th, 2002, right after we had just sat through Attack of the Clones. In June of last year, he moved down to Florida, where I lived, and has been without a computer ever since. (He also forgot his password to his Darth Ludicrous username! ARRRRGH! )

Well as of today, we've been married for one month and are deliriously happy. And it all happened because of this place. We didn't do anything really Star Warsy for our wedding, but the best man did play the Star Wars disco song and one of the groom's sisters bought two toy Ewoks and sewed bride and groom outfits on them. They're so cute! The week before the wedding, we also went to Star Wars weekends and had a blast. DL went crazy getting his picture taken with all the characters.

We miss you guys!

DL predates me, but congrats! It's nice to hear a good story about people meeting online and going onto a happy relationship. We need to hear about more of those.

Thanks, all, for your well wishes. I hope that DL will be able to post again soon. Man, that Sernpidal thing won't die, will it? I thought he was nuts for even suggesting that.

We both miss this place very much. But before we can get a computer, we need to buy a house, a TV (big, flat screen according to DL in time for the rerelease of the Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD in November ), and a washer and dryer (my humble wish). Ah, the married life. It's great. Wouldn't give it up for anything.
