Discovery:
Elvis - When he sings on a record as a gift to his mother, a recording exec takes note.

Anakin - When he pilots pod in Boota's Eve race, a Jedi Master takes notice. (The prize money went to his mother.)

Love life:
Elvis - Fell in love with 13-year-old brunette cutie while in the Army.

Anakin - Fell in love with 14-year-old brunette cutie (later marries her while serving in the Clone War.)

Evil influence:
Elvis - Col. Tom Parker controls his every move.

Anakin- Darth Sidious controls his every move.

Oedipal undoing:
Elvis - Went to pieces and was never the same after the death of his mother.

Elvis - "The Memphis Mafia."

Vader - Imperial officers.

Anakin - Leia marries Han Solo.

Another Elvis/Anakin connection: Both had elaborate personal transportation. Elvis had his private jet, Ani had a TIE fighter and Super Star Destroyer. Elvis ruled the world as king of rock, while Ani rocked the galaxy itself.
