Anakin killing the tuskens: A NEW meaning?

In Attack Of The Clones, Anakin says that he has killed all the tuskens (although he may have meant just the ones in that tribe, but not everybody know that)...

Well, when we watch all six films in sequence, we will assume that the tuskens are all dead, but THEN, in A New Hope we hear Luke mention "sand people". Now, who could that be, the audience wonders. And then when we see the tuskens it could add a bit of surprise to the audience, well atleast for the people who are watching the films for the first time.

But then again that may be a little far off.....

 

Yea, I kinda only think of the tribe... not every one on the entire planet

 

I too believe it was just the tribe at the camp. I doubt Anakin would go through the trouble of combing the entire planet for tuskens...well maybe, again it is Anakin.

 

I always thought he meant just the Tribe. How could he really whipe them all out in such a short ammount of time? Yes, it is Anakin, but still..think about it.

 

Who know they might change it to "tusken raiders" in the DVD realese?

Well, maybe there aren't that many tuskens.

 

To assume that Anakin meant all tuskens on the planet sounds like assuming that Yoda was talking about Obi-Wan when he said "This one, a long time have I watched".
It's just not right and I think only a few people make that misinterpretation.

 

The only thing that's NEW is how Luke is getting incapacitated by a Tusken, while his dad slaughtered them easily two movies earlier.
You know, the whole "Luke and Anakin are soooo different" thing
