In Episode III right before (I think) Sidious tells Vader to raid the Temple and "do what must be done" there is a statement of either the last few bars of Anakin's Theme or Vader Theme.

To my ears it sounds more like the end of Anakin's Theme, but I figured you guys would know for sure.

To be blunt, I think it's neither of the themes, just new, fresh material composed for ROTS. ;)

I don't think it's either one. It seems to be nothing more than 'creepy' Sith/Dark Side music, IMO.
If you have the OST that cue is the second half of Padme's Ruminations.
    About 01.37 to 03.14. Good stuff.[face_peace]

That is Vader's theme, tracked from "The Birth of the Twins" (when Vader begins to breath).

Its not the music from the 2nd half of Padme's Rumminations. Let me get the exact dialogue/timestamp it corresponds to and get back to you guys. I was going off the top of my head before.

ps Where is Vader's Theme in "Birth of the Twins"? Are you referring to the movie as opposed to the soundtrack? I just listened to the track and couldn't hear it.

It uses the intervals related to Anakins theme and then it does transfer to Vaders theme but it sounds modulated. It could be interprated as this because it used the main interval of both themes to represent this part of the music. It also could be over analized but lets just think Williams is a genius, ne?

    ^^

So do you know the cue I'm talking about? Its in Palpatine's Office somewhere after Vader gets named and when he leaves for the Temple.

Are you talking about the scene when he's marching up the temple stairs?

Yes, in the film. This music is not included on the soundtrack album.

OK, so I guess you've figured out the cue I'm talking about. So it's definatley Vader's Theme. But like the previous poster was saying it sounds like its played in an Anakin's Theme style.

OK, I said I'd come up with the time stamp so here it is:

1Hr 18Mins 06Seconds The dialogue is "There will be civil war without end."

It does sound very similar to the cue when Vader's helmet is being stuffed on.
