longtime reader, first time poster =)

for those looking for the dickies work pants, skateboard shops are a good spot to get them

i'm in T.O. too, and that's where i found mine

and a note about lightsabres, there is another option akin to the graflex modification route:

a 'hardware' saber. here is a site that has a pretty good tutorial and lots of ideas for building a graflex-like saber from a sink pipe:

    http://members.aol.com/ctlaw74/galactic.htm

    hope this helps!

I was wondering what do you guys think is the best make-up and color to use for the scar?

I use rigid collodion over some smeared lipstick. Lipstick is wax so it stays foreer and doesn't look too subtle, and the collodion is professional scar makeup. It tightens the skin together and puckers it up.

yeah I use eyeliner too, but for my eyes, not the scar. It looks pretty good to ghost your face with some foundation and darken the eyes to sink them into your face. Of course the only examples I have are pictures of the parade we did, where since I was about 15 feet away from the crowd I purposefully overdid it on the makeup. If you're trooping you want to be subtle, but if you are in a parade or something it's almost like being on stage, you have to almost "characature-ize" yourself.

Finaly i took some pictures from the Obi-Wan and the Anakin fabric.

As you can see, it looks awesome. The Anakin Pics are taken with FULL LIGHT on an 2 as you will see with normal light. Just very very cool

I received my costume, but I'm rather unhappy with the way it was constructed. It seems rather cheap, and the tabbards seem a bit too loose. What I mean by that, is that they seem so thin (although real leather was used) that they don't want to hang right without a lot of creases in them. What could I do to fix them?

Also, for the scar talk, call me crazy, and I am, but I busted out a razor from my exacto-knife and made my own scar. It's good for a couple days use, and with some neosporin, it goes right away without leaving any trace behind. lol I don't recommend everyone do this. I'm a wrestler, so I know what I'm doing with a razor. I got the idea and thought to myself, hmmm, why not? :)

Hey sliv, you should post some pics of the fabric. I'm helping my bro. in-law with his Obi costume, so any info on the fabric you used would be sweet.

And I think you'd have to be crazy to cut your face up!! That's dedication to authenticity.

you mean like a pro-wrestler? cause that's the only wrestler i ever heard of "blading."

whatever dude. dedication i guess. I'll stick with the collodion. Luckily I live in Hollywood, I can probably pick it up at the local grocery store[face_mischief]

As for the leather tabbards. I just want to make sure before having them made, are they 2 separate pieces just draped over the shoulders? I know the light jedi outfit like qui gon or obi has them as a solid piece in the back with 2 pieces coming over the shoulders.

Better late then never, this is the picture of the Girl that won the first Flo Japor Snippet award.
She looked damn good in her gorgeous costume.

This award is a snippet like Anakin did for his Padme in EP1. I give one away at every Con or Event for the best Padme around. Just for the ppl that didn?t know yet.
