ANAKIN SKYWALKER REMEMBERS

My voice is unheard,crying into blackness
My heart is of stone, yet it is broken,
Held together by nothing but a will to live.

My body is gone,replaced by wires,
An unfeeling mask I show,
For I must convince myself I don't care.

Unable to breathe,I rely on machines,
Yet my strength is beyond all reason,
Striking fear into those I meet.

My glance is ice,my touch is fire
Fueled by hatred and anger,
Yet deep down inside,I'm a sad little boy,
Unable to get out of danger.

I know that my actions are wrong,
But my mind seems bent on destruction,
My closed hand easily taking a life.

In seeing my son,I saw my redemption,
But I angrily cast it away
This boy's disbelief that I am his father
Spurs decisions I rashly make.

My anger is gone,love is restored,
In desperation I killed my owner,
My son sees me,for the very first time
And for once I can breathe on my own.

I am forgiven,one with the Force,
My son sees me whole,with my Masters,
The fear and terror are forgotten,
My son and daughter's smiles are remembered.

A celebration is held,
And I silently rejoice,
The reign of Darth Vader is ended!

what a great poem! i really like the transition from frustration to sorrow and then redemption, this is a really good picture into Anakin's mind (or heart, whichever )
