Okay, here's an A/T poem I wrote shortly after Anakin died. It's from Tahiri's point of view of course.



Without You


Dear Anakin,


Without you my other half
I am in incompleted soul
The mission that took away your life
Was for me too great a toll

I believed that you would come back
By denying you that kiss
You Solo?s always had the luck
To survive you?re every risk

Fear, anger, aggression, hate
Repress them as I?m taught
Everything I?ve done to serve
Without you is for naught

I miss your eyes, your playful grin
That dashing Solo charm
The voice that assured me
That I?d never come to harm

You are no longer next to me
Together; side by side
You left me all alone in life
Why did you have to die?

Remember me, Anakin?
The chatterbox who?d never stop for breath
Sorry, she disappeared along with you
With your terrible, anguish filled death

Now, I?m at the ceremony that will make
Me, an official Jedi Knight
But when they flashed your smiling image
I just could not bare the sight

We should have been laughing
Wearing off nervous energy
Instead, I am quiet and sullen
Can?t live without you, don?t you see?


My hero, my lover, my friend, my Anakin
Together we soon will be
We will be able to rest together
And be at peace eternally



Goodbye Anakin Solo
It won?t be long I hope

Dev_Binks: Tissues anyone? For some reason my favorite type of poem to write is dark sad ones. Though I'm trying to come out of that phase. I appreciate your comments. I live for comments.

That's a good idea, Dev, tho I'm not sure if I could stay comitted to something like that. I really can't force myself to write and it come out well. Usually an event or emotion crosses my mind and it just comes. *shrugs* Can't really explain it.

I'm working on another A/T poem write now. If you guys want I'll post it here instead of creating a new thread for it.

 

Okay, I think I might take Dev up on his collection idea. Anyways I have another to add.


Greatest Love


When we first met it was a very modest start
But I pressed on with the promise of mystery inside your heart
You were a quiet thoughtful boy when we talked that day
Wait, it was more just me, for you barely had any to say

Beaming light in midst of fog dreams sometimes start at small
When we trained together I could hear the Jedi call
We were stronger together than either was alone
After being without a friend you kindly set the tone

We shared our every step as we grew within the Force
We plotted the distance it would take to stay on course
You then journeyed away to war without me to watch your back
There was a great feeling of emptiness, a void to fill, a lack

When you returned I then realized something profound
I loved you and forever to you my heart was bound
Fear set in deep, for did you feel the same?
If I told and you didn?t how could I bear the pain?

What a surprise it was when we kissed before our death
It wasn?t the lack of oxygen that left me short of breath
We escaped and vowed to sort our feelings out
In your voice was resolve; your love for me couldn?t doubt

We were in love when for me and your comrades gave your life
Your death brought out the worst; the horror, the grief, the strife
Every time my eyes open I expect to see you there
Then I recall the galaxy is merciless, unforgiving, without a care

I sincerely hope the pain I feel never disappears
I don?t want to get along without your presence always near
I?m always reminded of you in all I see and hear
I rue the day when your memory neither brings forth a smile or a tear


I wrote this one in a rush so I hope it turned out okay.

Very well thought out. Tahiri's biggest fear is that the thought of Anakin will some day bring no emotional response from her. Keep up the good work Can't wait to see that return poem in a couple of months (or weeks).
