Anakin's lightsabers

How many lightsabers did Anakin/Darth Vader have between Ep.2 and 6?

 

I think 4.

 

If you're referring to the number of sabers he actually used:

1) His original from AOTC (taken from him on Geonosis)
2) Spare green saber given to him by a random Jedi on Geonosis)
3) Obi-Wan's lightsaber (used against Dooku)
4) New saber in ROTS (keeps using this one until Mustafar)
5) Count Dooku's saber (only used briefly when beheading Dooku)
6) His new Sith saber (used until his death in ROTJ)

Those are the ones I know about.

 

^ Exactly. Which appears to make it six that he ever used, and three that were actually his.

 

Because of how much Obi-Wan emphasizes in AOTC for Anakin to NOT lose his lightsaber, and how Anakin says "Not AGAIN...obi-wan's gonna kill me" when his lightsaber is destroyed in the droid factory, I would actually think that he may have had more in between TPM and AOTC. They just kinda make it sound like it's something that's happened at least a few times before then....

 

His first lightsaber was cut in half on Geonosis.

His second lightsaber was the one he used when dueling with Dooku. This lightsaber later became Luke Skywalker's lightsaber.

And of course the red lightsaber he used as a Sith Lord through the OT.


Then there were two others that he used that weren't his.

 

No, that was his ROTS saber. The situation at the end of AOTC:

 

Of course, after TPM, i suppose that Anakin used small padawan lightsabers in training and of course he probably used and lost many of them in his journeys with Obi Wan...

But, in the movies, I think that the ones that he used are the ones you mentioned above....
