Anakin's Military Rank

We all know about GENERAL Kenobi, but did Anakin have military rank in the Clone Wars?

 

Every Jedi (aside from Padawan's) were General's of the Clone Army during The Clone Wars.

In AotC, no Jedi really had a rank. But in RotS, most Jedi were General's.

Anakin was a Commander back when he was a Padawan
And a General when he was Promoted to Knight.

 

I thought he was a Lieutenant, then a Commander, then a General.

 

Nope, i read that all padawans started out as Commanders then when the got to Knight they were promoted to General.

 

Hm. I always thought "Captain Skywalker" would have sounded cool.

 

The EU made a point of connecting Anakin to Luke, which is why he was known as Commander Skywalker as a padawan, and Red 5 during the battle of Coruscant.
