Anakin's Nightmare

Anakin told me of his dream, once. The one he had on Yavin IV of me becoming a Yuuzhan Vong Dark Jedi. It scared me a little, but I knew that he would never let that happened to me.

I was so innocent. So naïve.

Because Anakin can?t protect me forever. I was young and stupid and in love, and I thought that the two of us would be okay as long as we were together. The thing is, he can?t do much to protect me when he?s dead.

Because that?s what happened on Myrkr. He died. Jaina went totally ballistic, but I was too much in shock to do anything. If only I had joined her. Together the granddaughter of Darth Vader and I could have ruled the galaxy.

Oh well. I can do it without her. Or kill them all. Or both.

It took me a while to realize what I could do. I was too immersed in grief to do anything for a long time, and then my training kicked in. I had never feared the Dark Side, as Anakin had. I hadn?t thought about it much.

But after he died, I embraced the anger, the pain. That is what Yuuzhan Vong do, is it not? And I am one of them, now. I have been since Yavin IV.

But soon I will be the only Yuuzhan Vong. I will kill them all, just as they killed Anakin. They were given the first gift, birth, from the gods, though I curse that day. All through their lives, through their meeting with me, they were given pain, the second gift. I did and will give them the third gift: death. I am one of the gods, now. Embrace the pain, scarheads.

And after that . . . I do not know. All I have is one goal: I will kill them all. What I shall do with the galaxy, I do not know. Perhaps I will rule them all. Perhaps I will die, and be with my Anakin again. Oh, my Anakin . . .

They told me that he would not want this. They told me that he would want me to move on, not turn to the Dark Side. But he does not know. He is dead. And I will have my revenge.

I have become Anakin?s nightmare.
