Anakin's Scar and Clone Wars II

Does anyone know if we will see Anakin recieve his face scar from Ventress in this series?

Do any of the coming chapters correspond to "The Praesitlyn Conflict" from the Clone Wars timeline?

 

Ventress isn't in Volume 2.

 

So the cartoon will show him with the scar but not explain how he got it?

 

anakin comes back from a mission with a scar on his right eye but you don't find out how he got it

 

Anakin got the scar in the comic Star Wars Republic #71, set 6 months before Episode III. It was in a duel with Asajj Ventress, on Coruscant.

 

Intersting, they show that it happened but they skipped over when and how.

 

I felt the cartoon handled it rather well.

They really didn't need to show or explain how he got it...but using it the way they did was a rather touching Anakin/Padme moment...and we get precious few of those.

 

yes I agree. It didnt need to be showed. Padme looked shocked though. Wonder what it must ahve felt like after she saw Anakin without his arm.

 

Folks! He's a soldier fighting in an intergalactic war! You don't have to be shown EVERYTHING. Use your imaginations!

Speaking of that, the scar is really a straight cut. The cartoon makes it look like some Harry Potter thing. A lightsaber leaves a solid gash, not a lightning bolt.

Is Vader/Harry Vodermort/Palpatine thing real?

The skar doesn't have to have a signifgance hes in a war and it's likely you could get stuff like that

Who's to say he got it from a lightsaber?

 

I'd say that the lightning bolt shape is just artistic license, and iit's just an artistic interpritation of his straight scar...
