Yes, if Anakin has to fly a OT ship to make people happy, it will be some kind of TIE fighter.

People should just realize that there isen't a hidden connection behind every line in the OT... and that it is a big Galaxy.

    How about this:

While living on Tatooine as a moisture farmer, Anakin builds his new ship, The Millenium Falcon, by using Corellian designs. Obi-Wan, though impressed by his former Padawan's abilities, convinces Anakin to sell it. He sells it, of course, to Lando (who at this time is a teenager with an afro).

    ;)

Q: What will I do if the Falcon ends up being Anakin's ship?

Sure, I'll sit through the entire movie. I won't enjoy it as much though. If anything, we'll probably see him in an early form of an X-Wing or TIE Fighter.

Not an "early form." It's only 18 years before IV. Plus the OT ships look really old and beaten, probably for a reason. I'm positive that we'll TIEs and/or other OT ships in III.
