    Hi Everyone!

An idea I just had that might be exciting for the ST:

An ancient sith remnant sect from beyond the galaxy that has a direct link to the original schism...

This could open things up a bit to explore the history of jedi and sith some more, and possibly even deepen the revelations regarding the philosophical nature of the Force. Why the balance is always maintained, and if jedi exist, then so must sith. Thoughts?

I've been posting about just this, although I don't believe balance is between Jedi and Sith. Nonetheless, ancient Sith are always cool.

I think people are too hung up on the "original Sith teachings" idea for there to be Sith. I for one think just as Luke is reviving the Jedi way mostly on his own without any true guidance, so can the Sith be reborn.

Ancient Sith > Luke's fallen students calling themselves "Sith"

It sounds a lot like the Lost Tribe from FOTJ.

Not saying I'm against some ancient Sith remnant, was just making a comment on a view that I have seen quite often around here. I don't think the Sith are dead just because the last known Sith were killed. I think it's a struggle that has no end.

There will always be Jedi, there will always be Sith. No matter how much they try to destroy each other. They are the Yin and Yang of the Star Wars Universe.

It's a discussion on the philosophical nature of the force and about the nature of the Jedi and Sith themselves, so absolutely it is.

I was thinking of that mixed with the Old Republic stories of Revan finding the uber-old and powerful Sith Emperor, the Yuuzhan Vong invasion from beyond the Unknown Regions, and throw in the philosophical undertones of balance (not just dark and light) before the schism... etc etc.

It sucks that the Sith Emperor turned out to be illegitimate

He was just the bastard son of a Sith Lord and a farmer... that's all...He still was the legitimate emperor.

The Sith spirits (besides those who went to Dromund Kaas with him) oppose him because he seeks to destroy the galaxy. In fact, Ragnos appointed Kun in hopes of bringing down the Sith Emperor, Jedi, and Republic.

Ah... because he wanted to consume it rather than conquer and dominate. Makes sense. I forgot about Ragnos recruiting Kun because he didn't like the direction things were going. Thanks!
