News just in, over in the Vector 12 thread the final part is confirmed for 31 Jan! Despite this actual shipping may be erratic but that's on the postal services and Diamond not DHC who deserve congrats for not only completing this long tale but also doing it within the span they set for themselves!

That is: 12 issues, 12 months!

Surely this isn't such a big deal though? Actually, those of us who follow comics beyond SW will tell you that it really is!

Both of the big two's projects have gone beyond their proposed span:

Marvel: Secret Invasion: Was to run April-November, slipped into December.
DC: Final Crisis: Was to run: May-December, now slipped into January and it's anybody's bet if it slides into February.

Not only that but the stumbling block for many a comic event are the final issues, the penultimate issue or the finale - both have been known to become fiendishly tricky.

I don't propose to do this all the time, but I don't see another such crossover happening for quite some time in SW - there may never be another, in which case this is a singularly impressive achievement.

=D= An achievement indeed; finishing crossovers and keeping them on time is notoriously tricky. Bravo, DHC! And that goes for all the writers, pencillers, inkers, editors, everyone. Well done!

Thanks Keralys, weren't sure what the view of this thread'd be from the Mod Squad.

Yeah, Dark Horse has done a real fantastic job with Vector and Legacy ship dates.

They deserve a hardy HUZZAH!!! =D=

Vector was my first crossover so I have nothing to compare it too. I will say that having the release dates nearly dead on each month coupled with my general enjoyment of Muur and Celeste has made Vector a great experience for me. I really can't wait until Legacy #31 comes out this week but all in all it was a great ride!=D=

Go read the new Comics section in the FAQ and it'll all make sense.

My local - along with the rest of the UK - should be getting their comics today, with luck I'll get my copy 3-4 Jan!
