Definitely is one of my favorite movies of all time. Sure, the film-making style is very Tarantino-ish, but the dialogue I feel is what makes this movie what it is. Plus, it's a very blue collar world that they present. It's not about rich and famous people, it's about lower class people and the underworld.

The sequel will be intersting to see, however, without Willem Dafoe, I don't know how to fully appraise it.

Heard this is going to be Smecker-less, but we'll both be there opening night (this is the film that my wife quotes from more often in our house than about any other).

The "cat scene" alone makes this entire film.

"You know, you Irish cops are perking up. That's two sound theories in one day, neither of which deal with abnormally-sized men. Kind of makes me feel like Riverdancing."

"I might just be wanting a bagel with my Coffee"

Smecker was the man, except when he was in Drag ;) I hope the Sequel will be able stand without him.

I was wondering when someone was going to make a thread about this film.

This film is one of me and my husband's favorite films. :)

We quote this film constantly in our house!

    Smecker was my favorite!

IMDB didn't Say, So I have no clue when 2 is coming out.

    Now you will receive us.

We do not ask for your poor, or your hungry.

We do not want your tired and sick.

It is your corrupt we claim.

It is your evil that will be sought by us.

With every breath, we shall hunt them down.

Each day we will spill their blood, 'til it rains down from the skies.

Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace.

These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior, and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost.

There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth, not to push the bounds and cross over, in to true corruption, into our domain.

For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three, and on that day you will reap it.

And we will send you to whatever god you wish.

The "F Word" or varients of it was used 246 times in the Saints. This ties Goodfellas at 246, I think that still holds the record.

Just saw it for the first time a few months ago at a swim team movie party. Since then I've seen it twice more; once with my dad and once alone, (director commentary enabled). I intend to purchase it on DVD fairly soon. :)

One of my favorite movies of the past five years. :)

The comedy in the movie is very good and refeshing. It's always nice to use comedy to lighten awkward moments up. Plus, having Ron Jeremey as a fat Italian mobster makes everything that much better.

The entire cat-killing scene is morbidly funny. I hate it when animals are hurt, but that scene just cracks me up.

Hah, i bought the movie without seeing it and am most happy with the purchase.

We have eliminated everything from the boondock saints which doesn't include foul language, sexual situations, or violence.

    Um.. here's a cat..

Oh my god what did you do to the cat!

I just saw this movie Saturday night, and I have to say that it is VERY similar to Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, very Tarantino-ish. That cat scene is just hilarious, out of nowhere. It was morbid though, but it was just funny.

That guy looks like Jesus though, which was really weird, with the Saint title of the film. My friend, usually saying random stuff in the film, said something along the lines of "What would Jesus do?" when he shot up the bar. lol!

Yes, that movie had lots of good quotes, funny moments, and lots of blood. I'd give it a B+ on a rating for films. I loved how it went from them going in to kill the people and the detective coming in and describing what happened as they show them shooting up the guys. Very innovative. "And there was a FIREFIGHT!!" ;)

This is one of my absolute favourite movies.

I especially love Dafoe in after the stripclub shoot out illustrating "good shooting" and "bad shooting"

I keep forgetting Ron Jeremy is in the film...or at least, I fail to make the connection to his other 'films' :p
