    To those of you familiar with the grand dame of SF, Andre Norton passed away Thursday, 17 March 2005 from complications arising from her leg injury last June. She was 93.

    Andre was a good friend and extremely supportive of my writing. Sadly she injured her leg before sending me her comments on my first novel, HALF A RUNE. I can only hope she had the opportunity to read the conclusion, HALF A RING before time caught up with her.

    I shall miss her immensely. The SF community has suffered an incredible loss.
