ST Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke) in Episode VII

I think Rebels Season 1 was really good, if a little too thin at times. The writing could have been better, the dialogue funnier, and Ezra and Kanan could have had more interesting personalities (Prinze Jr. in particular is pretty flat, IMO). But I mostly enjoyed it, cared for the characters, and am really keen on seeing what happens next.

One thing I didn't like were the OTT lightsaber styles. The Inquistor's propellor-blade and the gun-sword were just not necessary. I want to see swordfights, not light shows!

But it's really fun to watch the origins of the Rebel Alliance.

 

I loved Rebels hears hoping for a great season 2

 

I can't remember where I read it but a while back Serkis was saying he's really busy with films lined up and you'd hardly see his face in them, it doesn't mean that in TFA he'll be purely motion capture and he could've been referring as much to the PotA franchise.

 

You made me curious to see what Serkis is working on beside Jungle Book and Apes, so I looked up his IMDB page and it ruined a forthcoming surprise in the Marvel movies.

Thee fault is all mine .... I should remember the story of Lot's wife the next time I'm curious.

 

I was just looking at audio dramas with my son and stumbled across this. Not that it is a surprise to anyone here, but Serkis is the man.

 

Why couldn't it be possible for Serkis to play a good alien? He could very easily pull off mimicking Yoda's voice.

He speaks about TFA at the last minute, but is quite an interesting interview still. Looking forward to see his Jungle Book movie.

Darth Maul was cool enough to be worthy of a resurrection. I'd rather see a different inquisitor than a rehash of this first one. My opinion, of course.

But it's a fictional land, dead can be unwritten as not dead, wether it always works or not is a different matter but I don't out and out dismiss something because the creators original intent changed somewhat.

The actors must really be fed up of getting asked the same question over and over - as though they are going to tell anything.

It would be funny if one of them made up something and "accidentally" said it to a journalist.

If I were a journalist, I would ask the TFA castmembers if practical materials were used on set.

 

Just watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and this guy is AMAZING I want to know more about his character!

 

And the Inquisitor should stay dead or risk setting the Marvel-like trend for GFFA where character deaths lose all meaning since everyone knows they'll be back in a few months.

I doubt we'll see more of Andy Serkis in the trailers, maybe just as a hologram without any details or anything too revealing.
