Imo people are reading too much into that. I think Snoke is just hell bent on not having the Jedi return. If he was so worried about Luke himself he surely wouldnt have tried to provoke him having Kylo Ren killing all of his students while he still lived.

 

snoke wants luke dead so no new jedi pop up and he knows it's happening because he can feel it. so can kylo. this is why luke has been hiding because he must live or the jedi will be wiped out forever. he's been the last until rey came along... and she is not a jedi yet.




snoke also wants the new republic destroyed hence the purpose of skb. they only got one shot but it was a hell of a shot and would be considered highly successful. the majority of the new republic government is dead.

 

I think that shadowy image above is even a worse cliche than pale faced Snoke.

What will make Snoke interesting is his personal history and motives. If he is just a pure essence, then he needs to evoke the essence of evil just as well as Palpatine.

 

I think if the FO got to BB-8 like they were suppose to, then they would have used Starkiller on Luke's location first.

 

Didn't Serkis say at one point that Snoke was there when Luke and Vader fought on Bespin?

I dont think so. In the book Snoke talks about the father not killing the son causing the fall of the Empire - that is all I remember about that. I wonder if Snoke could see those events through a force vision when they happened or if he just got the info from Kylo Ren who would have probably been told about all those events.

Yes, and Willrow felt annoyed because all of this Rebel/Empire fighting on Bespin.
He could not focus any longer on playing Snokemon Go so he took his ice cream machine and left

 

I hope when we see Snoke in episode 8, he comes across as so dark there's almost a chill in the theater.

 

Maybe one of those fancy theaters that have audience atmosphere effects will decrease the room temperature like 15 degrees or something!

My thinking is that it may have came from a fight with the jedi a very long time ago but it doesnt look like a lightsaber would have caused it due to the shape.

It is mentioned in the artbook I think about the darkside taking a toll on Snokes body but that gash in his head would have other causes than that you would think but that one image in the artbook had one of Snoke's eyesockets decayed and caving in so maybe it can't totally be ruled out that gash is from some serious darkside degeneration of his body.

 

yeah I really hope so and that there was a fight between Luke and Snoke in the past.

 

I hope that part of Luke's pilgrimage to the first Jedi Temple is to discover what he might be up against in Snoke rather than having retreated because of Snoke. Obviously, Luke was blind to Snoke's influence over Ben, and he would understand that in order for that to be the case Snoke must possess significant power.

 

And the big twist will be that Finn is Snoke's long lost son and that he's force sensitive...
