ST Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke) in Episode VII

I don't think JJ would make the same mistake as with Khan. If Plagueis is in the ST, he is most likely not Snoke.

 

Would we know that from his looks?

Is this canon?

 

Well if that's canon then Snoke probably isn't one. Snoke is supposed to look like a snake sort of.

 

Maybe they are keeping info about Snoke quite so he doesn't steal Kylo's Thunder. All of the marketing seems to be around Kylo Ren. If people start pushing out stuff about the "main bad guy" played by an actor who has a lot more credentials it might take away from trying to build up Kylo Ren's character.Nah....it has to be because he is really Sideous, Plagueis or Bane. Wouldn't want to tip off the less than 1% of the worlds population who actually knows 2 of those 3 characters.

 

They're keeping Maz's look secret too so far -- maybe she is Plagueis?

 

Good guess, I bet she has more of a role than people think. Maybe a Yoda type role. Plus she is played by another very famous actress who might take some thunder from boyega and Ridley.,

 

I want Snoke to be the type of villain where he scares the pants of me. Sheevy never did that for me.

This guy is wearing an outfit like Snoke is described wearing and the helmet is the shape of a cobra head.

Jason could have seen artwork for Sarco and thought it was Snoke. That would mean we know absolutely nothing about his appearance other than the rumored zombie- or cyborglike look!

 

What a bout the reptilian look??

 

That he would look reptilian was first heard of in Jason's article on MSW.

Well, Sarco's hands and the way that helmet is shaped do hint at his species being reptilian:



I just don't know if our mystery man on the back of the book is Sarco or member of the same species. Just the guy on the back of the book is dressed like the way Snoke was described, the helmet hints at a cobra like shape and he is working with the Imperials, or is an Imperial himself, and is gunning for Luke.

 

Sarco has a chitinous head casing, though. Like a beetle. MSW described Snoke as a 'snake vampire', with a flattened cobra-like head, black eyes, and a bulbous mouth.

 

Maybe it was early artwork for Sarco instead of Snoke.

 

I'd say he's Plank and I imagine he's a bounty hunter / garindan informant type.

 

It's not the same character. Unless the cobra concept is what's under Sarco's helmet. Also is name is Sarco Plank. Not Snoke. That's also not a kimono, which is more what Jason described.

 

He could also be an Inquisitor, the armor and outfit he is wearing on the back of the book looks Imperial.

I seem to recall a dated video game add on in the 90's - "Mysteries of the Sith". It seemed like the purebloods in that depiction were serpent-like black creatures similar to Komodo Dragons. It's been a while since I've played that game though.

 

The outfit of the guy on the back of the book looks like a kimono with armor plating.
