You really think that's going to be useful in a match? Let's see him concentrating on teleporting to...where exactly? in the middle of a fight with the likes of Strike Freedom or Infinite Justice or some of the other fast mechs out there. Yeah, let's see him do that. No, that teleportation is next to useless here.



And Yak: Optimus is a giant robot. He and the transformers are mechs just about as much as the Evangelion units are mechs.

And he has reached preety high speeds, right before he teleported, when he broke through the Earth's Atmosphere, during his ametuer arial fight with Viral.

no he isn't as fast as those guys (Strike Gundam...and a few other speed types)...but he COULD press them into Meele, given his insanely detrimined nature.

Not only that, but funnels themselves might be of more use to Simon then his enemies. Destroying them, would remind him he could crack their heads open ESCAILLY if they all disappered, and would supply him with Spiral Energy.

 

They don't need pilots...

Iono, I mean it's not a big deal, it's just that whatever this mech limit was imposed for, Optimus wouldn't... Fit the bill?

 

I never said he couldn't press them into melee, just that he'd be hard pressed to. And against at least Strike Freedom's funnels, he's going to have to be fast about destroying them. As Kira isn't just going to surround him menacingly with them like most of the enemies in Gurren Lagann did before he area attacked them. And sure, he'll be able to bring Infinite Justice into melee...as that's a close combat suit as well. So no problem there. All I was saying was that, while a very solid first round pick, he isn't the top mech pick like you think he is. Rest easy, Simon is still solid first round. And really, it's just how you feel and who your favorite is. I probably would've chosen to be stylish and melee focused over boring Kira myself.
