I'm going with Ryuhou in this match. Sarutobi is a good fighter, but I'd say Ryuhou has the edge in speed here (why do I have the feeling I know exactly what argument is going to come up here...). The difference in their preps for me is that Sarutobi is technique-oriented, Ryuhou can plan to avoid and counter them. Ryuhou is speed and force-oriented, fairly predictable, but surprise isn't really necessary for him to win.

 

Yeah. My same sentiments. Ryuhou there will definitely be hard to hit and harm. Similar to the Shockwave bout, I'm not all that impressed with Sarutobi's techniques shown to harm high durability opponents. Ryuhou is faster than Sarutobi and will definitely be on the look out where as I feel Sarutobi will be working harder trying to keep his guard up and be offensive. It's a good bout, but Ryu is better in this match up.

 

Hence what Kanye was saying about him (Ryuhou) being harder, better, faster, stronger...

Uhm...yeah, both Dragon Slave and Giga Slave take far too long to perform. Anderson has a huge speed advantage. So fast as to be able to move from his spot on the floor where Alucard thought him dead, and come up behind him without him realizing it. So, yeah, while she's trying to get a spell off, he'll have her head off, or some other vital organ.

Without knowing anything about Slayers, wouldn't it be possible for her to begin performing the spell just before the match started, so that she could finish the incantation or whatever just as the match begins? Kind of like summons in the VGD?

 

I...suppose she could begin chanting before the match begins. It's not the same as a summon, though, since a summon is off before the match begins, and then they just come in with it. It's also a beam, which she will have to hit him with, and there's also the issue of proximity. She's never been inside the area of the explosion, and I don't think that they start so far away as to make him the only one in the explosion, and if that's true, then I think he survives it more than she does. That's if she can hit him with it to start off. He can close the starting position very quickly, and easily evade what she's throwing at him, which is a beam. So, either way, I don't see that it matters.

 

Don't Anderson's papers or whatever they are have some sort of effect that blocks black magic too, or am I misremembering that?

 

I don't know that they're powerful enough to block one of those spells completely, but he does have the teleportation as well.

 

Either way, it seems the advantage is his. Agree.

What the hell? Giga takes too long? That's crap. It's like Zizz said, why can't she have that ready to go? And NO WAY this paper you guys are talking about has enough power to deflect Giga Slave, it destroyed Shabs and can undo reality. It isn't like it is a one shot thing, Dragon slave might be but not Giga I think we should go back and review some videos of her powers kids.

But is she going to actually use Giga Slave? I'd say she'd stick to Dragon Slave, which takes time for her to use. Even Giga Slave takes time with the chanting.

And why can't she have that ready to go? Because that's complete and utter bunk, that's why. People can bring stuff to the battlefield, they can't start attacks before the fight even starts. The Sniper shot argument is stupid enough, now they're pulling the trigger before the gun even sounds? Ok. Sure. Give her that.
