Saturday - George Lucas Interview: Mark Hamill
Next Wednesday - ROTJ re-release trailer
Next Saturday - Episode VII cast announcement?

Just throwing some fuel on the fire.

 

The logical progression is Release of ESB rerelease Trailer, Release of ROTJ rerelease trailer, Release of Episode 7 plot, cast, first trailer, and glossary of creatures.

 

And then all over again in one continuous loop.

 

Is it tomorrow yet?

Or is it still today?

It's a paradox
Full of contradictions
How I got from there to here
It defies a logical explanation

 

Think it's time we close the door on our hope for any news. Clearly the kill fan hope campaign will continue from JJ and LUCASFILM. well into the next year.

 

You guys would have hated it if you got this announcement last week. I bet Lucasfilm intentionally delayed it just to mess with your heads!

Well, there's always tomorrow to look forward to again!

 

I hope it's awesome. I'm worried that I will see them and think... maybe I shouldn't say this... old. Sorry, I'm old and I know I shouldn't say that. But I might just think that.

 

The ST version of Han, Luke, and Leia wearing costumes from the OT would be a mistake.

 

A huge one because it would just underline how much older they are... it would be a bit like seeing my mum and dad dressed in their 1960's clothes... No thanks.

 

If any of them wear the same thing it will be Han. Luke and Leia's wardrobe changed in every movie anyway. I see Luke in full Jedi robes, and Leia in statelier Padme style attire (Senator not Queen) with many more costume changes than previously, since Carrie has always seemed envious of Natalie in that regard. But Han could get away with the same outfit or something similar, perhaps with dressier or more militant variants.

 

They had a different costume in each episode, no need to go backwards.

 

I've seen fan art of an older Han wearing something similar to the costume Malcom Reynolds wore in Firefly, which looked pretty good. If they do something like that, but keep the colour pallet from his costume(s) in the OT I will be happy.

 

just completed an indiana jones marathon over the weekend with my 7 year old twins, while they loved the first 3 they instructed me to turn crystal skull off as he was too old. Apart from my girls being ageist they clearly didn't like Ford looking old. I know indy is more of an action hero and therfore harder to suspend believe. They had a very strong reaction even before he used the bull whip. I hope that my girls reaction is atypical and that the youger new generation of fans don't experience any disconnect.

 

Only if Luke, Han and Leia are the focus of Ep VII... which I'm pretty certain they won't be - they will be peripheral. If we're lucky Luke will have a similar role to Obi-Wan in ANH (which feels about right IMO).
