After several months of debate and considering the options, we have decided to open up the Amphitheatre to the public. This new forum can be found under the "JC Community Forums" category. The Amphitheatre, formerly known as the Fine Arts Forum and the Arts & Culture Forum, is the newest edition in to the more serious discussion aspect of the JC Forums. First off, it is essentially a sister forum to the Senate Floor, with similar rules. Spamming and trolling will be punished harsher than in other places; flaming and instigating posts will not be tolerated. Secondly: purpose. Discuss and debate music, art, literature, dramatic works (film, theater, TV) and culture with your fellow Jedi Council members. That is the official line. There will be talk of expansion in the future to cover other cultural topics, but nothing that breaks the socio-political monopoly of the Senate. Third, I want to say the key rule in there will be to respect your fellow posters because they will have different opinions from your own. You may think rap is the best thing to hit the music scene since guitar, while others won't even consider it music. Roll with the punches and discuss things in a friendly fashion. Have fun, but not at the expense of others. A final note - this is to be a discussion forum like the Senate Floor, but not a social forum. JC Community will remain as it is now, nothing's changing over there. However, this forum is designed specifically to harbor in-depth discussions, of a more serious nature, which can sometimes be lost in the huge environment that JC Community is. We felt it best to offer a place where serious discussions could prosper. No fan clubs for your favorite bands or movies, no appreciation threads for "hottest actor/actress/etc." Leave that to the JCC. Without further ado: Welcome to the Amphitheatre.
