Tidewater, VA Announcement of Costuming Community Liaison

"Good afternoon,

The Tidewater Alliance started out as a fan club for individuals to share their love for Star Wars. Through the years, its members began joining the ranks of Star Wars costume clubs, most notably, The 501st Legion, The Rebel Legion, and The Mandalorian Mercs.

While The Tidewater Alliance will always have connections with the groups and the costuming community, we are first and foremost a fan club. We don't require any costumes here. We are open to all types of fandoms.

There will be members that will look for advice and guidance on entering the costuming community and in particular those clubs and others like Dark Empire, R2 Builders, The Saber Legion, etc.

Because we want to help those members and keep this connection alive, I have asked Richard Csernelabics, to be our Costuming Community Liaison. Rick will be on hand to provide members looking to join these communities with the information they need to do so and provide opportunities for people to get a sense of what it takes to be involved with these communities and will work with the staff and council to keep us apprised on the climate of the costuming community as a whole.
