Recent security issues here at the Jedi Council forums have made it necessary for the administration of TFN and the JC to forge some new policy on how our members are allowed to access this site.

There are several services out there which either provide anonymous IP addresses for you while browsing, or which simply allow you to surf the web through their server, for consumer research purposes (and sometimes for a faster connection...). One such service provider is www.marketscore.com. This service, if you sign up for it, essentially has you surfing the web through their server so that they can gather marketing information about where you visit. As a side-effect, it also assigns you a completely different IP address everytime you access the web.

As stated before, due to recent security issues, the Administration has decided that we will no longer be allowing IP's hosted by such services.

If you're not sure if someone else in your household/dorm/office has signed your computer up for marketscore, or how to remove any marketscore configurations on your machine, please visit their website. You should see a section on resigning your membership, and you should also see contact information.

We do apologize for any inconvenience, but this is a necessary precaution due to recent trolls abusing this service. This should not effect many users, and this should not block anyone from accessing these forums, as these services are not ISP's, but rather IP providers/spoofers, so you should still be able to access the JC from your true IP address.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact a member of the moderating staff here.

    Thanks!
