Six pages and no actual announcements . . . smh
I'm getting that this thread is for discussing the word 'Announcements', and not of any 'announcements' themselves. I for one enjoy announcements. I dig how they're all declamatory and proclaim-ey and such.
This has turned into a social thread I guess.
*orders nerdy sounding Star Wars drink at bar even though that's not real making him sad that he's not actually drinking anything and making him realize how ****ing stupid that sub-culture is*
The Hollywood Reporter is teasing something:
Ok, who's ready for some Star Wars news?
Now this will be interesting!
Lets hope they give it to us today and not force us to wait for weeks
I'm about to go Supernova if this is not real AAAARG GIVE ME SOMETHING !!
Exclusive: STAR WARS REBELS casting David Oyelowo, Freddie Prince Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray and Steven Jay Blum as voicestars.
He just said he was kidding and he got nothing.
Edit: Nevermind then. Oh come on...its not fair....we get Rebels casting news before SW7.
I'm sure El Mayimbe will revise his Oyelowo story...
I have faith that they wouldn't do that. They're not LR who needs to play that kind of game to get hits.
Ahhh...come on! Rebels?
Ok seriously...first website to give us some legit SW7 casting news (no more of this "that actor auditioned" bs but actual "This person is definitly going ot be cast") gets a cookie
Rebels is out next year. Makes sense we'd get info on that first.
Am I the only one excited for some Rebels news! David Oyelowo is interesting since he appears to have a budding film career. Could Rebels possibly be a set up for one of the spin-offs? Simon Kinberg is an executive producer for the show and is also the screenwriter for one of the spin-offs. I just have a feeling all of these side projects are connected somehow and we're in store for a huge multimedia campaign (hopefully includes a live action series as well. )
This is exactly what I think they're doing, and I too am excited for "Rebels" news.
It's nice to see Freddie Prinze Jr. is getting work still.
At least some Rebels news!
I'm glad to at least see some news on Rebels, considering the relative news drought on that end for a while. We might get to know a lot more during NY Comic Con, and the news about who is potentially going to be cast is interesting. I'm really only familiar with Steve Blum and Prinze, Jr.'s work through voice acting and games. but I'd like to know more, for sure!
I actually thought Freddie Prinze Jr. did an alright job in Mass Effect 3, though I wonder if he could really shed the stigma of starring in a live-action Scooby Doo film to the casual fan. Supposedly he's a big Star Wars fan as well, so I think he could surprise us.
Freddie Prinze Jr didn't earn his bad reputation from Scooby Doo alone. He had already starred in Wing Commander and I know What you Did Last Summer by that point.
As for his vocal work in Mass Effect 3, I wasn't too won over by it. It's not the most stilted delivery in the franchise, but there wasn't anything there that made his character endearing to me either. And some of Vega's delivery in Paragon Lost is just downright atrocious.
Freddie will be starring in the upcoming Star Wars spinoff. Aurra Sing: She's All That
I hope Freddie Prince Jr. plays an ugly mole-type character because that would be hilarious.
Count me among those excited for the Rebels news. Cast is looking pretty good so far. As for Episode VII: I'm sure that in about a year's time a lot of the people who're complaining about the lack of news now will be saying we're getting too much info.
