Announcing my defection to the Rebel Alliance

Yes, you read that correctly.

The time for deceptions has passed. I cannot ethically and morally continue to serve a government that has failed its citizenry. Murder, deceit, torture, and repression should be anathema to a just society?not part and parcel of daily life.

For far too long have I stood in the shadows?now I move to the light. From this day onward, I will serve the Alliance to Restore the Republic in whatever capacity they deem suitable for me. I will hope to be placed in a position of honor and trust as has been gifted to other high-ranking defectors, but I will accept whatever position the Provisional Council gives me. Leader Mothma, Minister Organa, and Admiral Ackbar?I accept your leadership.

Now I will fight as one of you?as a member of the Rebel Alliance.

Down with tyranny! Down with dictatorship! Down with Palpatine!

It's better said that a veil was lifted from across my eyes. I thought the values of the Old Republic were best protected by the order and power of the Empire, but clearly they have done more to destroy them than the Clone War ever did.
