JCC Announcing the re-MERGING of The Senate Floor (AF, LOL)

We have to make an announcement that we are assuming is not unexpected. The Senate will be splitting off to have its own spot in Community. Once again.

Why the re-re-split? After much deliberation - both in public as well as in the Focus Group and in Mod Squad - we realized that the tempo, the culture and the swag of the Senate are just too different to properly blend in with the rest of the Community forums. The way it's set up now, it's easy for people to miss the Senate tag, while the style of the Senate is simply very different from the style of the other boards. Also, beezel posts many Senate threads. Oh so many.

We hope to see people still coming in to share their thoughts and opinions... This way, the two tempos of the Senate and the other forums aren't competing, as neither is better - they're just different.

All old Senate threads will either be retagged or moved to the new forum. Other threads that have moved too far from their original style and become Senate Floor threads de facto will also be moved, on a case by case basis.

So apparently the Senate rules are being described as "draconian", "downright stupid" and "Mikaboshi".

A Focus Group has been created to deal with this issue. Stay tuned.
