    "Optionalize" should be a word.

At one time, blue jeans were only offered in one color and one cut, but over the past few decades they've been fully optionalized and to a greater extent than perhaps any other garment save the sneaker.

    Get out.

    Also, American business speak.

"Take aways". Not what points did you take away from these meeting, but "what are the take aways."

"Touch base." Not, "let's discuss in a week when I've completed the task", but "let's touch base in a week." It comes from ****ing baseball, why is it being used in a serious setting?

"Operationalise". Probably spelled with a zed because tw@s.

"Helicopter view" - not, "I need to understand all of this", but I need a helicopter view. Alright Jan-Michael Vincent, you go get your view from a helicopter, you utter nonce.

"Take this offline" - meaning let's talk about this after the meeting. WHY CAN'T WE SAY THAT?

"Cascade the ideas down" - meaning, you'll disseminate? Say it you uh uh uh, not allowed. [face_shame_on_you]

I liked it, but alas had to remove it, so I figured if I have to kill the fun I might as well be cute about it. :p

Okay, I know you posted this a while ago, but I'm fixing to learn you something. First of all, Diggy was right about it being "fixing." Second, there are plenty of ways y'all say you will do something in the future hat make just as much sense.

    I'm about to...

I'm going to... (unless you are actually going somewhere to do whatever it is you are going to do)

It's still a pretty terrible, ham-fisted attempt at communication. I'm assuming it's derived from the notion of fix as in "decide to do" or "settled upon" with respect of dates, i.e. "we fixed the date at 24th of November"?
If so it becomes "we're settling upongoing/deciding to go there", which is naff. You might as well go full numpty and use the passive voice too. "There was somewhere we were fixing to go". It's no less stupid.

to Fix - to make arrangement, to make prepared etc

Once "fixed" you would be "settled on" or "set" to wind up at the destination you've been preparing for to get to. Or if you said you had settled on going somewhere prior to any "fixing", then the only fixing (making preparations/arrangements) you will be doing will be with the objective of reaching that destination

It is sometimes used incorrectly to describe considering doing something, or the intention. e.g. "I'm fixing to run marathon some day." while sitting on the sofa watching a marathon while eating bread directly from a bag, dipped in anything runnier than bread.

But then "Fixing to go somewhere" can be used to describe the process of deciding where to go.

You wouldn't use it if there were no preparations to speak of.
