    Hey all,

Much fun was had at the outing tonight.

I was urged by Justin to post the plans for the next gathering/meeting/shin-dig/swarey/jam/party/par-tay/tom-foolery,......well you get the idea.....

There was mention of a pot-luck, where everyone brings a dish, we chill out with a nice movie, or even just to chat.

Paul has generously offered his place, as well as Justin, and I'm sure Matt would appreciate the bunch of us crashing his dormroom too..... :p

Dates, times, and a definite place are up for debate.

Let's get the ball rolling and see what we come up with. It would be nice to get in a handful of meetings before April.

    Thanks,
    Jake

well, February 8 isn't a good date.... it's the social work school's semi formal.

I like the idea of a pot luck, I even know what I would bring....

    par-tay

Parté. Get it right. :p ;)

The idea of bringing a plate sounds like a fine idea. What will the wife be making to put on it, Paul? :p

I would like to clear this up. I do most of the cooking in our house. I make neat BBQ stuff. One of my favorites is a maple mustard grilled chicken, with a type of pizza bread. (I know the real word but just can't spell it) I also make a mean chill and my homemade burgers are to die for. So with that clear up hope to have this gathering real soon.

LOL *giggles* I'll buy a nice dish from the Dollarstore ;) Western's reading week is Feb 22-28 I believe. Of course we're aiming for something much sooner though! Do we have to work around people's midterms at all? (mine are coming up in very early Feb) Blah!
    Also weeknight or weekend?

It looks like we're going to have to work about midterms then, I have them all during February straight to the break.

Why don't we pick a location, and then the person who's hosting can suggest some dates and we can pick one from the list? Does this seem fair?

One of my TVs is average... 10 years ago. Neither one really works right though, and my monitor, though it has sharp picture quality, has poor colour quality.

This IS my social life. I need to get a life.

Let's at least choose a location. Volunteers? My place is out, it sucks. We don't even have a decent TV here, and not enough seating for everyone, unless you like sitting on the floor in a drafty old house.

Well my place is almost definatly out! single rooms just arn't any good for group gatherings. I do however have a dvd player that is pretty portable if we so need it?

I volunteer my place. It's a good size. DVD player, surround sound, 42 inch Sony TV, and plenty of sitting room. The #9 bus stops right outside my door, and it's quite close to Deb and Matt.

    So Paul's or Chris's?
My house is out because my room mates would flip!

I think mine is more practical because more of us live in this part of town, and I'm less mobile than he is, but it's up to you guys.

What are we planning to do, anyway?

It doesn't matter which place, Deb and myself had functions allready, so why not Chris's place this time. Chris make a date and time and will start to debate it. And hopefully we can all agree on a date.
    Paul
