    Seriously though, this thread has been my most enjoyable entertainment all week. I just read all 12 pages in the span of an hour and everyone in my house thinks I am now insane for laughing at nothing for so long.

    My son was staring at me like I had lost my mind a couple of nights ago because I was laughing so hard at this thread.

    And when he asked me what I was laughing at, I didn't have the heart to tell him "some thread about these people being shot on an Army base."

    And no jp-30, I didn't 'stockpile supplies' (though I would have been screwed if the Mayan apocalypse had happened), but that doesn't mean there wasn't a part of me that thought the world might come to an end on Dec 21, 2012.

    It was the end of the current B'ak'tun, loosely akin to us enumerating centuries. According to FAMSI such dates were considered prime opportunities for wicked keggers, the end of the world/spiritual shift thing is a modern invention.

    Can I just say I'm so glad that's a moot talking point?
