Miraculously, his entire head lengthened between the ages of 40 and 60! :p

The2ndQuest: I'll keep all that in mind on repeat viewings. Whether I find your arguments persuasive or not will come out then. I'll let you know!

Fascinating that they both say Friday. This must be an important and crucial hint about the marvel cinematic universe and can't possibly be a small production error.

Maybe it's a throwback to that "see you next Wednesday" meme that was so prominent in the 80's?

They're probably just being consistent vs trying to correct a calendar issue.

Man, though, Stane seems a lot more eloquent in the WS article than the IM one. :p

"Truly a sad day in history" versus "The death of such a brilliant inventor…..fills us all with extreme grief for such a tremendous loss."

I feel really bad for that poor ant that became huge. His/her life is going to be a nightmare now.

    Are you referencing Thriller?

Mostly yeah. I think a bunch of John Landis's movies had that reference in there too.

Right. In American Werewolf it was the name of the porn film David was watching in Piccadilly Circus. In Blue Brothers it was a big roadside sign a cop car crashed through. In Thriller it was dialogue in a movie Michael was watching, etc. etc.

Yup that's what I'm thinking of. And I have no idea where I'm going with this besides that it might be a nifty little throwback to one of Hollywood's unsolved mysteries.

Might it? I think it was just something Landis found amusing.

I think Pixels was funny, though a tad overrated. Ian McKellen was awesome in Mr. Holmes! Not that the latter will be a major box office draw, but who cares? McKellen is the man.

I really, really want to see Mr. Holmes (was going to see it before Ant Man, but the theater I went do wasn't playing Mr. Holmes, so Ant - Man it was), and hope to try and see it before it leaves the theater.

That's surprising since Pixels sounds like a sexist piece of ****.

I didn't get why they didn't shrink that back down actual size. I suppose they left Thomas the Train that size too.

I'm glad that Ant-Man was number one at the box office again for the second straight week as it's one of Marvel's better origin stories and fun films. I could see why there's no immediate plans for Ant-Man 2 as this iteration really isn't a crime fighter and is not one of the major players (that I can see) in phase 3, but of course that may change after Captain America: Civil War.

I think it'll be fun if we never get a proper sequel to integrate Ant-Man / Hank / Wasp (& Louis!) into the Avengers roster fairly regularly. Maybe another Ant-Man caper flick that would put them against the Avengers interests later in phase 4 might be fun if Scott is accepted as a full blown Avenger by that time.

Agreed. Tony Stark was running around with the Time Gem when he was killed by The Winter Solider and due to Time Gem fluke, it became a Friday.

Even if they don't use that explanation, I'm using it anyway.

Speaking of "No-Prize," I saw one of the actual envelops at a Stan Lee signing. I love that Stan and Marvel had a sense of humor about it. Moreover, some of the people that received these envelops actually thought there was an actual prize.

I'd love to see a prequel set in the early 80's with Hank Pym as Ant-Man fighting along the Wasp. Perhaps they could even be setting up an old school Avengers team together!
