Any "Excalibur" fans out there?

    I'd never heard of Boorman wanting to make LOTR, LT. Very interesting. I really wouldn't doubt it at all.

    That's kind of ironic if you know of that and Lucas' goal of attempting to make Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon movies in the early 70's. Apparently there was also a problem with the rights to those properties as well so Lucas said f* it and began writing his own sci-fi serial saga extravaganza.

    Apparently Jackson wanted to do either King Kong or lord of the rings, and after the disaster that was Godzilla he got choice #2.

    Someone at college told me about Boorman doing LOTR, and it is a nice thought really. He probably would have done a better job then Pete Jackson, especially with the likes of Alan Lee and John Howe at his side.

    It's funny how things work out sometimes, most of the times for the better too.

    the music to excalibur was great, overall it was a decent movie. imo

    A fine film indeed, though one of the things I like better about is that is only 3 pounds.

    By the way, how is the Region 1 DVD different?
