JCC any oldbies around?

Oldbie checking in here to remember the golden age when we had different horrible people than the horrible people we have now. Those were the days guys.

 

Back in my day, we didn't put up with any pudu from oldbies. I say wipe 'em out. All of 'em.

 

So 2002 is now "oldbie"?

I'm a **** offbie.

 

I remember trying to say I was an oldbie in a thread similar to this one back in 2005 when ROTS came out. Man that seems ancient.

 

Nobody with a registration date of 00 or newer is an oldbie, and never will be one.

 

I remember there used to be long, drawn out discussions over what counted as an oldbie and when those scales would change and so on. Now it's all "Who gives a ****?" and I couldn't agree more.

 

There is nothing really to discuss. Oldies registered in 1998 or 1999. It's like saying you are a Gen X when you were born in 1958. I cry myself to sleep most nights with bitter regret that I didn't hit the register button a couple of months earlier, but that is my cross to bear.I don't want to burden you all with it.

 

IMO registration dates are like comic book eras, where Golden Age is late 30s-early 50s, Silver Age is mid 50s-60s, Bronze Age is 70s-80s and everything else is Modern Age. The bar doesn't move and the criteria doesn't change.

 

What about 20 years from now?
