I dunno if it would be. Isn't it basically the same as multiplayer in normal RtCW? Just new maps and a better focus on classes?

It wouldn't be as great if it was a 50 buck game, or even 20. It's not a brillant multiplayer game, but it's free and very fun and engaging. Worth the download, for sure.

Anyone with an okay computer and an internet connection who has not downloaded ET is a fool. :D

Well, each to their own. ET is great ad is quite a bit different to Wolf.

If I could I would shake the hands of the deveopers. To make a game, then see SP is not progressing as planed and to just continue with MP and make it a FREE game to DOWNLOAD for ANYONE. That is fantastic. I'm a fan of RtCW and now of ET and so I would pay for it. I was and still am bit annoyed at the lack of SP which had great potential, but oh well.

I hope they make another "Wolfenstein" type game soon.

PS: The new maps for ET are cool.

Or they may be playing Battlefield 1942 and think it's better.

But I agree, for a freebie it's good.

SFL, whats better, RTCW or BF 1942? Only I want to get one but I don't know which.
    Thank God for WWII games.
BTW, does anyone play DOD. It's pretty similar to Counter Strike with one shot kills etc.

    DOD is crap. :p

Personally, looking at the variation of gameplay - BF'42 is awesome. However you are limited to one weapon per class and I find it's very slow to move in maps - the run speed is slow.

ET has much greater diversity within classes. As an Engineer you can build defenses, plant land mines etc. Covert ops can kill enemy and steal their uniforms and go under cover. Soldier has the option of Flamethrower / panzer (bazooker) / Mortar / Mobile MG-40.

As you play and get experience points you get promoted and get new skills - faster recharge rates - battle sense - guns etc.

Very cool. If you want a great game - get ET- and it's free and hundreds of people are always playing online. :)

Just finished playing a 10 map Campaign in some USA server with cable. It's 2:35am Sunday morning.

I made over 2000 XP points. Had full rank in all classes except field ops. Awesome game. I have screenies too - but not web site to upload them to :(

Yeah. ET is amazing. I just hope they will maybe give some patches or new maps. I get really annoyed when I get shelled by artillery like 5 times in a row.

new maps are available to be DL'ed.

    Rhine
    Password
    Trainyard
    Bridge

    etc

Some servers run them. If you have cable, and if server allows it. Make sure you allow downloads and just join the server and you'll DL it then - and then join. Otherwise do a google.com search and DL the maps.

ET is my most favorite game in the whole world. I play it with a multi-player buddy of mine who's been playing games with me since JK and Outlaws

If I'm on at the time search my nic name, Layne Staley.

"Or they may be playing Battlefield 1942 and think it's better."

Like myself. Still, it should be checked out. It's more than worth it.

In defense of Battlefield. . . it's all about the vechicles. ET only has those tanks you escort and whatnot. Battlefield has light tanks, heavy tanks, APCs, jeeps, planes, bombers, landing craft, battleships, aircraft carriers, artillery pieces, not to mention all the new stuff in the two expansions.

And I don't see how the ammount of guns is different than from ET. You get a choice of guns with some classes in ET, but I didn't think you could hold more than one at a time, besides double pistols or something.

And you can switch classes in BF without having to die, just walk up to a dead soldiers pack laying on the ground and hit G to pick up whatever they had.

Not really any reason to get both games if you're trying to choose. ET is free. So buy BF and download ET. See which one you like more.

The only problem with ET I find is that the guns just aren't powerful enough. They take about 20 shots to kill someone. They don't feel right either. Probably just me being picky cos I'm used to killing people in 2 shots in CS and DOD.
