    I was wonderig if any one had one of these on their mind or anything, I'm gonna try but, I'm not very good at modeling and am probably gonna try to work off of an existing model, just wondering 'cause I cold really use for an up coming fan film and 3d class (at school, mainly compositing with shake and animation in maya). I could inface help with the texturing too for the different batalions. It's be awsome if one of you talented people could take up the challenge, here are some refrence images if you're curious:

    As far as making a regular EPIII clone Trooper, all that has to be done is make a new helmet for the clonetrooper that's already available here on SCi-fi

    http://scifi3d.theforce.net/details.asp?intGenreID=10&intCatID=13&key=581

    I wish I new how though...Maybe someone will mix a storm trooper helemt and original clone helemt together!!!("big no no" I'm sure)

    But I must say out of al the trooper costumes (even stromtroopers) this has been the design I like best!

    "all that has to be done is make a new helmet for the clonetrooper that's already available here on SCi-fi"

    So that also means once someone has done this helmet, the toon version will be very easy to make too. From the pictures I've seen, I think starting from the clone trooper helmet wouldn't be such a bad idea

    Zoo can you delete this last idiots post!

    "I would just kit-bash a stormtroopers helmet with a clonetroopers helmet" Save time because it is not really worth making it from scratch, I mean, ILM was too lazy to change the rest of the armor...

    You know Crunchy...I tried that already.

    I kinda cut both masks up with an "EDIT MESH" and I grouped them together and everytime I turn his head the stormtrooper portion doesn't move.
    I even tried everthing I can think of from: link the helemts together, linking them to the BIP head, and grouping them together and nothing.

    Any ideas?

    ~Rory

    PS

    the clone trooper mask is 10x better than the Storm Trooper though.I just feel like the Clones look and act more Professional and the Storm Troopers are just ...dumb!LOL

    "ILM was too lazy to change the rest of the armor..."

    I don't think this is an ILm choice. ILM just do what the production asks (and pays) for. I thnik it's just a choice from lucas to keep some continuity. Episode 3 only takes place a couple of years (I don't know how many exactly, and I don't care) after episode 2. So that's why the armor didn't really evolve

    Rory: Make sure the stormstrooper part wasn't link to a bone or had its rotation and pisotion properties locked

    Here's an original
    [image=http://web.ukonline.co.uk/bingo275/July/ep3clone6.jpg]

    now the dirt texture is not set right and I still can't get the storm trooper portion of the helmet to move with the rest of the helmet!

    I know kit bashing is bad so that's why someone should make one from scratch...right?

    That's a good start Rory. I would smooth out the cheekbone/bridge of the nose area so it's more of a gradual slope...but it looks good. Just my two cents.

    Alright ...I'll give it a try but if the helmet wont move with the rest of the other helmet...what's the point does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

    I'm using MAX 7

    AND TJS2 is still in the works. I have been filming some scenes and it's coming out great. Next week I film the first action sequence, so that should be cool.

    here's a sneal peak at an un-finished scene

    That's awesome Rory! I really like your new characters. Is that the same alien who gave the datasphere to Master Oni? I love that HP3 cue. Great stuff man.

    Maybe I will, because that will allow me to make a new toon model quickly, from the first clone. But right now I'm working on queen amidala

    fireresq7, could you send me your model in .obj format? I know the pictures well enough to fix it up, mainly the visor and the textures, I wana make the coloration seen on the ones in the picture and movies. So send a clean one without the mud, this'll be awsome for a fan film!

    EDIT: Jaho101@gmail.com

    Plus if it's too big than maybe just the head?

    Yeah I meant export. Any way I get error 404 when I try to open or save it so I'd think you might wana fix that. Coments on the pictures that I see are they don't have round edges and the shape is slightly off either than that it looks good.

    I've made some tuxtures for the different legions in ep 3, I have 3 so far:

    Green (yoda's guys)
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/jaho10/greenclone.jpg]

    Red (shock troop)
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/jaho10/redclone.jpg]

    Elite Guard
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/jaho10/eliteguardtrooper.jpg]

    yellow, blue and brown coming soon.

    These are all rough drafts, no scratches or dirt marks yet. Too clean to look realistic.

    Ok Sorry I totally misunderstood you..dude I thought you said the file was bad...but now I know the link was bad....
    Here you go:

    http://www.solid-roc.com/ct.zip

    Hey JAho10 I'm looking at my EP III Vis Dictionary and I think the on the bottom is the Shock Trooper and the one with a red stripe is the elite trooper?

    Here we go... I did this over the weekend:

    [image=http://usera.imagecave.com/jeneraljarjar/shocktrooper7.jpg]

    There are still a few things that need to be tweaked, mainly the ridge around the eyes. Unfortunately, I don't have time to texture it at the moment (college finals!), but when I do I'll send it off to Zoo, along with the body I made a while ago. :)
