    I have this, it is supposedly a Star Wars item. The mounting plaque has a logo on it.

    It is a bladed weapon. It has rubber tubes on it for safety.

    Anybody.

    did you click on it, Linda?

    Mic - I have no clue it doesn't look like anything but a really freaky can opener.

    Doesn't look too logical either - is it suppose to be a vibro blade of sometype?

    is it bladed at the small end too?

    if it came from SW, my guess is that it seems more likely to be a prequel object.

    Not Star Wars, it's one of those Fantasy blades you see every so often in places like E-bay, cutlers cubbord, or some weird shop that sells swords next to old victorian dolls and religious paintings and statues. Maybe the only movie it's in MIGHT be some b-rate sci-fi movie that when straight to dvd or videotape (like Battlefield Earth should have... worst movie EVER !)

    Reminds me of something on the "Liars Club" and old gameshow where semi-celibrities would lie about strange objects and you had to guess which one was telling the truth.

    I don't know why a hydrospanner would need to be sharp. :eek: It has clear tubing over the sharp parts to make it safe. I've always thought of a hydrospanner as a type of wrench (as those crazy Brits call them "spanners". That's for you, Ben. ;)) or some other such tool.

    I like that someone over at RPF suggested Vader's Pizza cutter.

    I did see your post, I just thought the Vader Pizza cutter idea was funnier, since it looks "Sithly", to me. :p

    It reminds me of that surgical tool that was used to cut open Mulder's chest in The X-Files. Could be something a droid or bounty hunter might use. Probably not a weapon used by a good guy.

    I'd hate to see a Sith version of an Epilady! That's already an excellent torture device as it is!:eek:

    The very first time I tried using one, many years ago, it hurt so much that I thought I'd pass out.

    I got used to it, though I never got all the hair off my legs with it at any one time. And I could only do about 15 min at a time, then my brain would over-load with the pain impulses. 8-}

    Sorry for the digression.[face_blush]
