Anybody watch the Rose Bowl Parade?

John Williams was the Grand Marshall, and the parade's theme was Music, Music, Music. There were a few floats that played Williams music, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Liberty Fanfare, and the Olympic Fanfare.

Later, JW was at the Rose Bowl game, where he conducted both college bands in his arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner. He also tossed the coin at the beginning of the game, but ABC cut to commercials right before the toss (grrrr...). They also only showed about 1 minute of the halftime show, so if the bands played any Williams music, I didn't hear any of it.

The national anthem performance included a flyover by a stealth fighter, a stealth bomber, and a Raptor ATF. Pretty cool stuff.

 

I didn't see it. I hardly watch any tv anymore.

 

Dang, I forgot he was gonna be on there.

 

That was awesome...He was falling out of the side of the grand marshal car trying to talk to people on the side it seemed

and he kept pointing to his Boston red socks hat, I think it was...yeah, Pretty interesting. he also conducted one of the first performanceses at the new Disney theatre place in Los-Angeles...that was cool to see.

I didnt get to watch the game though...Im sure it was interesting. Ill have to see if my mom recorded it (went to University of Michigan, so she probably did)

I never follow sports anyway, so I guess I kind of have a reason

 

i turned the TV on just in time to see the last two seconds of John Williams conducting... it was exciting

 

and he kept pointing to his Boston Red Sox hat



And I missed him conducting?? John Williams is a BoSox fan??? I now officially love John Williams
