anyone dismantled their MR F/X?

ive seen it doen on an ep2 anakin,

but i was wondering if anyone has tried it with an ep3 or ep5 (anakin or vader)

my ep3 seems like there wouldnt be much to it, an allen screw in the front and the copper knob on the back, just dont have the guts to try, unless it was broken.

anyone done it, or heard of it being done?

i just feel that this hilt is closest to the size of lukes ep4 graflex, and would be cool to be able to remove and replace with only slight modification.

i know they dont want you to do it so its probably not, but i thought id ask.

Seriously there's a way to make MR FX sabers have removable blades? That was the only reason I never bought one, but this changes everything.

 

you can take the blade of for sure, but never get it back on

 

No, you can modify the ROTS Anakin and ESB Vader FX sabers to have a removable blade. There are two pins that hold the blade in place and a real connector between the blade and the hilt. (I just love that. Thank you MR!) You will have to disassemble the hilt and then pull out the pins - note: might be tricky, but it is doable.
There is no retaining screw though like on Parksabers, so you will have to be a little more careful when you wield the modifed FX-saber around.

 

there is a great guide on the rpf for the esb vader, looks pretty easy, the guy will do a guide for the rots anakin aswell

 

If I heopefully get an Anakin RoTS EL MR saber, I'm so doing this.

He's doing an Anakin costume, and helping me with my palpatine costume, everything else is just what he wants to do in the future.

 

I'm doing one costume at teh moment, I've just been switching around a few times, I'm gonna finish the Anakin costume and finish helping my friend with his palpatine costume, and then I'll move on to the other ones that I've wanted to start, like the Kit Fisto one.
