Anyone else a little unimpressed with Grievous?

I looked very cool, don't get me wrong, but the the hacking and coughing...like some old man. His voice didn't do it for me either.

I agree with you, I wasn't very impressed by him. He wasn't scary at all to me, he looked a bit ridiculous really.

 

his cape could have been a bit better animated.

 

I loved grievous! How can you hate him? Hes coughting made him special...

 

I was expecting him to be a pile of crap but he turned out alright. So, if anything, I was pleasently surprised.

 

I wasn't blown out of my seat by him, but he was satisfying.

 

his coughing was because of his confrontation with mace when he tried to capture palpatine right before ROTS. read LOE, it shows that mace uses the fore to crush his lungs.

 

Yeah, he wasn't quite the bada$$ he had been made out to be.

He's the prequels Bobba Fett. Hehe...

 

Loved him. Hated him. Bought the T-shirt...

 

Mace crushed his chest in the Clone Wars cartoon, that's why he was coughing throughout.

I don't know how you can be unimpressed with someone you knew was a throwaway nobody. From the first few scenes, you realize he's a big bitch and avoids fights at all costs.

When he finally fights, he obviously has technical prowess, but lacks intelligence enough to thwart his opponents.

The fact that he lasted as long as he did against Obi-Wan was more than he ever really deserved. Grievous is only mentioned for the first half of one episode in the entire saga...and you think he should've been killing people left and right, been super cool and super funny and clever and blah blah blah. He was a filler.

 

Grievous was brilliant, one of the best screen villains I've seen in years, he was just perfect.

 

I loved the hacking and coughing. Also when you look at Vader's loud and laboured breathing gives the impression that the mechanical-organic union in the SW universe is not completely perfect. I liked the idea.

 

I built his Utapau scene up a lot in my mind (due to the soundtrack track 5 mostly), so I was mildly disappointed the first time.
I liked the character, but understand why he had to be taken out pretty quickly.

 

I wasn't that impressed with him. He was OK, nothing more.

 

Grievous is a perfect sci-fi serial villain that Star Wars was always inspired by. He's described as "fiendish" in the opening crawl - just like villains in those old serials.

 

I liked the character alot. He was a coward. He was funny and I loved the line Obi-Wan said when he popped up behind him.

 

I hated when he walked like a spider on the floor...

 

really liked him. He only had about 10 mins of screentime but you got a good sense of his personality. Best of the PT minor villians IMO

 

I liked him a lot, but I had the problem when he crawled like a spider. It just seemed wrong.

 

I was actually more impressed with Grievous than I expected. I thought he would suck, but it was very old-school mustache-twirling bad guy and I loved it.

 

His voice was the weakest part of his character. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised.

 

His voice was the best thing about him! Better than any other voice over in the saga except Yoda and Vader.

 

i wasnt that impressed either, unless you watch the clone wars or something, you wouldn't know he is a famed jedi killer...IMO

 

Only thing was that the first time I saw it I was waiting for his face plate to fall off.
