PT Anyone else not watching TPM until the 3D release in February?

That's pretty much my plan as well. I'm going to see each film at least twice in theaters, once in 3D and once in 2D.

 

Haven't seen TPM in some time even though I have the Blu Ray versions. Looking forward to the 3D release next year!

 

Well, it's not like I still have them around... but iirc it was just random words that I guess were supposed to be like sugar-based tone poems or something.

 

LOL. I did the same thing with those damn things. I thought maybe there would be some spoiler or something for the film.

And yes, I still drink too much Dew.

Anyone know when advance tickets go on sale for TPM 3D?

Saw the big lobby display at my local theater & got very excited. They just renovated the place, it's top notch! Just in time for Episode I! I hope to see TPM at least twice, if not more, times. I can never get enough of that movie! Stoked to see this on the BIG SCREEN again, where it belongs!

 

Any updates on advanced tickets?

 

I won't have much a problem not watching it, I barely ever watch new movies let alone old ones. I watched TPM more times than I know when it first came out to the point I could recite it (I was 14); I think I have watched it 2 or 3 times in the last 10 years. Now I'm 27 though, I have discovered more in life than I have time for, I have my own home theatre system, I have TPM in 3 different formats available to me and I have not been impressed with 3D in films actually filmed in 3D let alone TPM which wasn't, I think I will pass on this. AotC was in my opinion the worst film so I doubt I'll see that one either, I'll likely go see RotS though and the OT.

 

Any word on any IMAX 3d screenings at all, particularly in the UK? My local cinema had an episode 1 3D poster right next the IMAX screen at Christmas which, may not mean anything but if it does, it's already got me stoked.

 

I'm waiting also. Then right after I won't watch Epi. II until it's released.

 

For clarity's sake, are they doing ALL the films in 3D? Just the Prequels? Or just Ep. I?

I'm re-watching TPM at home this week, and my suspicions are confirmed: I just can't make myself pay $10+ a ticket to see that much Jar Jar. Very close to my only complaint about the movie as a fan.

 

The plan is to release all of them. But if the 3D flick doesn't last that long, they may not do all of them. It all depends of where the industry will be ina couple of years.

I sure will! It will be the first midnight premier I have ever gone to.

 

I actually made it a point of watching TPM at home this week before going to see it on Saturday or Sunday.
