FF:VIC Anyone going to Toys'r'Us at Midnight?

Episode II toys are being released at Toys'r'Us tonight at Midnight, and one of the actors from ANH will be at the Chadstone store to sign posters. I think his name is Peter Sumner, the Australian actor who had the line "TK-421, why aren't you at your post, etc...".

Let me know if you go and meet him. Sadly, it is too late for me, I have to get up at 6am for work.

Also by the way, I picked up a copy of the Episode II novel today at Kmart Chadstone, released a day early...

 

I'm going to the one nearest me, although I doubt anyone much'll be there.

 

Oh, I so wish I was going. Damn school, dammitall I say!

Ah well, not like I got money to spend on it anyway.

 

Me too, damn school. I really wanted to get my poster signed by a real stormtrooper...

 

I wish I could go. If not for the figures just for the entertainment. Seeing people kill each other for a Count Dooku figure, or exchanging fisticuffs to get there grubby paws on a Jedi Star Fighter. Man I wish I was there and had a camcorder.

 

So what did everyone buy today??? I got there after school and there was still everything there, except for the Slave 1 ship. There was still dozens of action figures, I got Obi-wan's lightsabre and a few action figures... what about everyone else???

 

The only things that I have bought so far are the novel, the Cross-Sections and the Visual Dictionary.

I have always wanted to get a lightsaber, but the Anakin / Dooku ones are about $65!

Personally, I would love to get one of the Master Replica sabers!

 

Yeah, I'd love to get a master replica too but they're way too expensive

I bought Obi-wan's one and it cost me $50 I think...

 

I was at the Chadstone opening.

Total maddness.

200 - 300 people I'd say and the lightsabers and Slave 1's just disappeared as fast as they appeared from the storeroom.

Peter Sumner was great and is a really nice guy to talk to.

Shame you all couldn't be there, but try to make the effort to get along to the next Skyforce....it's gunna be a hoot.

 

When is the next SkyForce???

 

I went there the next day, and the only thing missing was the Jango figures, but I went to Target and I got one there, with a slave 1.
Musn't be many fans in Frankston...

 

ahh...the best place to go for figures would definately be a toss up for K-Mart in Burwood, Comics'R'Us in Prahran or a little shop in Elsternwick called Comixfactor. All of these shops have a large range of figures - especially hard to find ones like Saesee Tiin, Nikto Jedi and Jar Jar Senator
