Anyone heard of Dead Parrot Pictures?

This may be a little too OT, but here's a shot at it anyway.

A friend of mine was approached through another friend via email asking for her to audition for them. I guess the ended up speaking at Starfest, but she hasn't heard anything about them anywhere else. Just looking to find out if they are for real. I've done searches and can't find them anywhere on the net. I was just hoping one of you could help me if you have heard of them or have any knowledge that might be of help.

Who would name themselves "dead parrot pictuers"? sounds kinds fake

 

I would be cautious of any 'production company' that names itself after a Monty Python sketch. It sounds like something a couple of bored college kids would stick on the front of a silly beat-each-other-with-pool-noodles video.
