I remember those days and have to credit this time period simply as when the Lit forum lost all its seriousness.

When I first started posting we had fun topics, but mostly serious topics. Right about a year ago everyone wanted to do fun silly topics. That was when this place went down hill.

 

right..and it's fun and exciting now....

Well, the Lit. forums's still a great place to be. In a year, we might look back on this summer with nostalgia. Let's make this a summer for memories. If not so wacky as last year.

 

The Booyaka era was fun, but it was bound to destroy itself.

Does anyone ever find themself about to use that expression in daily life?

 

Nope. But they were exceptional days.

Is Yarua gone? That's hard to believe.

 

I still say booyaka everyday

 

I still say "There's no place like home" while clicking my shoes together, but strangely, nothing happens.

Why don't I remember?

 

I remember Booyaka...so long ago...yet more proof that JediSabre77 was one of the people who made this board what it is today.

Where is Itrakh? I liked the school of Crashology. Didn't he even get Januwine status? I wish we could go back to those booyaka days, they were so much fun.

 

Although I disagreed with some of what JediSabre77 said, I miss his presence on the boards. He made this place very interesting!

Good times. I was there for a bit and remember laughing a lot at JS77's posts.

Only one word to describe that era: Booyaka.

 

It was nice to have been able to spectate on the Golden Age of lit... I should really make more time to come here!

 

That's what I mean Matthew. If you want to have fun and games go to Communications or now the EU Community. The fun silly threads should have never been allowed to remain in the Lit forum in the first place. Because they were allowed to stay people expect this place to be fun a silly all the time. The Lit forum is a place to discuss SW related Literature questions, not a place to declare oneself the Emperor of the forum. I may sound like an angry old man, but I have matured since I have begun visiting the forums and now live on my own. I, and I am sure others like myself, don't have time to look through the loads of worthless non-Lit related topics that have in the past and still to some degree clutter the Lit Forum. If I have offened anyone I am sorry, but this is my story, and I'm stickin to it.

Let ME set the record straight! I was not then nor am I NOW banned from this Message Board.

I admit I was banned temporarily after I went a little crazy but I apparently was unbanned sometime after.

Why was I unbanned? I dont know.

You know what? I dont care. This is just a Message Board, it was a lot of fun but it is ultimately unimportant.

Now about the past. There have been a lot of lies and distortions about what happened with me and the JC told primarily by the admins.

Why was this? Because I made the Admins look stupid and they needed to save face.

What was the StarWarsKINKY fiasco?

Firstly I created Kinky as a small group where fans could gather around and engage in very frank conversation.

You could curse, you could talk about anything you wanted to. It was a celebration of Constitutional Freedom of Speech. I felt that since the JC was a G Rated board that a PG-13 alternative was needed. Thus KINKY was born.

It was NEVER a Porno Group. That is an outright LIE told by the DeLuded Admins.

Now I had a link to Kinky in my Sig and the DeLuded Admin decided to check it out.

He did. He decided that freedom of speech offended him. Since he couldnt administrate the entire internet he decided to take a shot at me where he could. The JC.

I was then told I couldnt use a link to Kinky in my sig.

Now I admit I got a little pissed off. Maybe a LOT pissed off. But what can I say, I worked twelve hour days and didnt have much in the way of free time, I liked spending that time having fun so I spent part of my free time on these boards and part of it with my Kinky group.

I was tired, I was grouchy and frankly I didnt appreciate the fact that I was being treated like I was a Child Pornographer when in fact all I was guilty of was owning an Uncensored forum.

Well sor-ry for living.

I decided I would no longer be a member of this forum. I was not going to be told that my group was "Innapropriate" when there was nothing wrong with it at all. Hell The Gatherer an Admin here was a founding member of that group for Christs sake!

The JC censors for the kiddies, nothing wrong with that but Kinky didnt. The JC and Kinky were Two different entitys. My Sig wasnt hurting anything. But the braintrusts around here felt differently.

The Internet wasnt big enough for the JC and Kinky to Co-Exist. Or maybe it was that the JC wasnt big enough.

Screw em. I quit but before I did I made it very clear why I was quitting. I created a thread denouncing the admins because they had gone too far. I then posted a link to Kinky and logged off.

Now I admit that from what I have heard that I really disrupted this forum for a few weeks and frankly I'm proud of that.

If I caused any of the Admins to lose face then good. They lost face in my eyes so why not make them lose face in the eyes of others.

Of course on the flip side I lost face in the eyes of several members but hey, I stuck by my guns and am frankly a lot happier because I did.

Better to die making a stand than to live under a whip.

Now I understand that this is a privately owned forum. And the Admins are basically Janitors for the owner. Their job is to keep thing neat and clean.

I understand that and I approve. They should keep this forum as clean as possible if thats what the owner wishes.

That was NEVER my problem.

My problem was that they were trying to control what I did OUTSIDE this FORUM.

I dont feel they have ANY right to do that.

My Sig wasnt to a Porn Site. There was nothing overtly objectionable about Kinky. The group name was more graphic than the group itself.

I can stomach admins but I cannot stomach hipocrites and the Admins here are hipocrites.

Anyone around here hear of The Slackers Council?

My StarWarsKINKY group was "Innapropriate" but the admins eZBoard "The Slackers Council" was appropriate?
