Most country music = [face_sick] IMO.

Music styles that have titles such as:

Don't Give Me A Plastic Saddle 'Cuz I Want To Feel That Leather When I Ride,

I Was Looking Back to See If You Were Looking Back to See If I Was Looking Back to See if You Were Looking Back at Me

and ... Get Off The Stove, Grandma, You're Too Old To Ride The Range

    ... aren't doing themselves any favours :p

I listen to anything, but country sounds just a bit suss sometimes, like Toddi said, but I like some of the aussie stuff as long as its not too angsty

I tend to like one or two isolated songs when they catch my ear ... example: "Raining On The Rock" by John Williamson and Warren Williams. Very random, but a song I have always liked. The same with some of Paul Kelly's hillbilly stuff.

Living in the country probably hasn't helped me :p

Yeah same here... Growing up listening to country radio and with a dad who is obsessed with Slim Dusty, it was bound to happen.

What about 'My Old Man's A Dustman" by that guy who sings it? Great song. But... not really country....

SLIM DUSTY! Slim is the greatest of all Aussie country singers.... my favourite is "Light on the Hill"
