There is always talk of a fan film in and around these er' parts, but sadly we never seem to get around to filming one.

Its just sad that we are too few in number to really commit to something like a fan film.

However, if you have any ideas that you would like to bring to the table, then its something we can certainly have a look at.

So how many fan/normal films have you made?

    Hey

I'm in Llanell, but am in Blackwood all the time (near Newport), and I specialise in script development and special effects, so if you need anyone in that respect let me know and I'll help out.

I should be making a fanfilm or two myself over the next 6-10 months. If you want to make something, I may be able to help.

I have a passion for film making, even through ive never had any hands on experience before.

Directing a fan film is something I would love to do, or even writing a story, which I'm working on at the mome. If you want to know how talented I am in writing, heres an example, I'm in Q1 high sets for english, and in year 7 recieved the highest mark in the entire year for a story we had to do...

    GenGrev4: Impressive. Most impressive.

So give us some details on this story your working on. Just a broad outline of plot and characters. Is it PT or OT?

Stuey: A lacky? But you could do so much more! If ever you want a job as a tea boy on my set, its yours!

The catch is that you have to dress as a traditional tea lady.

I like my movie sets to be of an old school nature and I really would prefer to see you in a pinny and curlers.

And you have to buy the biscuits!

    YOU TOO!

Finally I have found someone who shares my obsession for old tea lady clothing.

Perhaps we can make it the offical uniform of the Welsh Chapter?

as long as we can have nice hats with dragons on them (that match the uniform of course)

Yep, if I become RSA, i'm making this my first point of order.

    Tea lady outfits all round.

How could anyone resist that offer?

I think i'm going to get at least 3 terms you know ;)

So give us some details on this story your working on. Just a broad outline of plot and characters. Is it PT or OT?

Its based after the saga, during the Vong Invasion. Its not that large on scale really, its based entirly on one planet, with many different races. The Title, 'Fight for Freedom' says it all really, I dont want to give too much away at the mome.

But for my story to be adapted into a fanfilm...you may need a lot of money. Im well aware that it aint cheap to do these.

I do hope to get my fanfic complete soon, im currently doing GCSE's, so their taking up most of my time.

Ah the Vong invasion! I only got through about a third of the Truce at Bukra (sp?) before I gave up. Not the best book in the SW series, I didn't even get to the Vogans before I put it down so i'm not that familiar with the characters.

Those exams are a pain, but the chance to do a fan film will still be there in the summer.

So what type of locations, characters have you got in mind? Would they be new characters, or ones we know?

They would be new characters, belonging to a new Alien race called the 'Primordevel', and the setting is like Modor (Lord Of The Rings) mixed with Mustafa (Episode III).

Mind the spelling, its something I'm really bad at.

Also, its based during the Vong invasion, but doesnt play a part with it, it basically has nothing to do with the NJO events.

"The setting is like Modor (Lord Of The Rings) mixed with Mustafa (Episode III)"

Wow, that sounds like a sci-fi fans geek dream!

So how are you planning to impliment this, via CG or clever filming?

Like your idea by the way. Very clever setting it in a era that is known, but not to well known. This gives you good scope to push the envelop and write your own take on the Star Wars Universe.

To me, this is just a story at the mome, a fan fic that I'm currently writing...adapting into a fan film...I have thought about a lot...but for the current time, I need to focus on finishing my story.

I do agree, that it would be pushing the envolope for fan film making...and would need a lot of determination, and love, which I have already got for this story, ive been working on it a long time.

I don't even know if people are going to like what I have in store, when I post the story, I dont know if you will even like it, but I guess we will see.

Well I suppose as long as you like it, then the story has done its job.

Writing should be about enjoying yourself and exploring your imagination. If you happen to be able to turn this into a movie that other people will like, then all the better, but it is by no means the only reason to write something.

Still thinking about that planet! Wow, that would rock so HARD.

    Thanks.

The whole reason that started me off on writing this story, was because I love to use my imagination. Also, the story is also based on my life in a way, at a certain point of view. So this story is also very personal to me.

Sounds interesting. I don't want to pry, but could you guve us a few pointers on this "way of life"?

I'm intersted in how you plan to impliment these into your story.

Well like I said before, really don't want to give too much away yet.

Its basically about people struggling to be with what they are, and people wanting more than they can hangle, as well as going too far and making wrong decisions, etc. Vey human...'qualitys' should I say.

Its also very dark, and basically tells the story of my life in way up to last x-mas, where things did change. I havent thought and killed people for my freedom with blasters and that lol, but its basically there, the same thing, and told differently...hope you can understand what I'm saying...

Are you sure? I seem tor remember a spate of blaster killings in your part the world over the last xmans period..

    I'm watching you!

But yeah, it sounds very interesting. Its great when you can use even the crappy stuff that has happened in your life and turn it into a creative force for good.

How many storis (SW or otherwise) have you written in the past? Is this a new thing for you?

    Yeah, this is my first.
Its also a way of showing people what I may have been through...I love to write, and use my imagination.

Thats great. But do me a favour. If you become a famous writer and make the kind of money that Lucas or Rowling have, then I feel I must tell you about the CR percentage.

As your CR I am entitled to 25% of your earnigs for the next 75 years.

I know that seems a little harsh, but I didn't make up the rules!!!

    Don't shoot the messenger :)

Make the cheque payable to "cash".

    Thanks....
